J2B: Supporting Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

J2B collecting Christmas trees to help raise funds for Arthur Rank Hospice

Earlier this month, the J2B team spent a (very soggy) day out on the road supporting Arthur Rank Hospice Charity and their annual Christmas tree recycling collection in Cambridgeshire – and we loved every minute of it.

It's a simple idea: local households donate to have their Christmas trees collected after the festive season, and every penny raised goes directly to supporting hospice care across the county. It’s practical, local, and makes a real difference.

A big effort, with a big impact

Over just three days in early January, the campaign saw more than 4,300 Christmas trees collected, thanks to over 170 volunteers from across Cambridgeshire. Together, this year’s collection raised an amazing £119,000 to help support people living with life-limiting illnesses.

J2B got stuck in – collecting trees from local homes and helping keep things moving smoothly. The weather wasn’t exactly kind (wet, cold, and muddy in places), but the mood was upbeat throughout. There was a real sense of everyone pulling together for something worthwhile.

What started over a decade ago with just a few hundred trees has grown into one of the largest Christmas tree recycling schemes in the UK – and it’s easy to see why it continues to be such a success.

Proud to play our part

At J2B, we’re always keen to support local charities and community initiatives, and this one ticks all the boxes. It’s hands-on, well organised, and has a clear, positive impact close to home.

We’re proud to have been involved in this year’s Arthur Rank Hospice Christmas tree collection, and we’re already looking forward to helping again next year – hopefully with slightly drier weather!
